A Complete Restoration

Ephesians 1:19

You will know that God's power is very great for us who believe.

God loves to decorate. God has to decorate. Let him live long enough in a heart, and that heart will begin to change. Portraits of hurt will be replaced by landscapes of grace. Walls of anger will be demolished and shaky foundations restored. God can no more leave a life unchanged than a mother can leave her child's tear untouched.... This might explain some of the discomfort in your life. Remodeling of the heart is not always pleasant. We don't object when the carpenter adds a few shelves, but he's been known to gut the entire west wing. He has such high aspirations for you. God envisions a complete restoration. He won't stop until he is finished......He wants you to be just like Jesus.

How has God been changing your heart? What is different in life today because of those changes?

Loaded with Love

Psalm 103:4
He.......loads me with love and mercy.
It's time to let God's love cover all things in your life. All secrets. All hurts. All hours of evil, minutes of worry. The mornings you awoke in the bed of a stranger? His love will cover that. The years you peddled prejudice and pride? His love will cover that. Every promise broken, drug taken, penny stolen. Every cross word, cuss word, and harsh word. His love covers all things. Let it. Discover along with the psalmist: "He....loads me with love and mercy." Picture a giant dump truck full of love. There you are behind it. God lifts the bed until the love starts to slide. Slowly at first, then down down, down until you are hidden, buried, covered in his love.

"Hey, where are you?" Someone asks. "In here, covered in love."

God has loaded your life with mercy and love. What hurts and worries do you need to bury beneath that love?

God Listens

I cry out to The Lord for mercy;
I pray to The Lord for mercy.
 Psalm 142:1

You can talk to God because God listens. Your voice matters in heaven. He takes you very seriously. When you enter his presence, he turns to you to hear your voice. No need to fear that you will be ignored. Even if you stammer or stumble, even if what you have to say impresses no one, it impresses no one, it impresses God, and he listens. He listens to the painful plea of the elderly in the rest home. He listens to the gruff confession of the death-row inmate. When the alcoholic begs for mercy, when the spouse seeks guidance, when the businessman steps off the street into the chapel, God listens, intently. Carefully.

God wants to hear what you have to say. How does that make you feel?

TIME FOR PRAYER

The importance of prayer cannot be overstated. It is our lifeline to God. Sure, we can get by without it for a period of time, but we soon find ourselves feeling confused and overwhelmed. Trying to go it on our own May seem strong, but it is futile.if we get in the habit of prayer, we have peace of mind to head off any destructive feelings before they snowball.
Spiritual needs for nourishment and refreshment are very much like physical needs. Our hearts and minds can feel weary and worn from dealing with the "stuff" of life. Connecting with God through prayer brings Spiritual renewal-like a shower for our soul and a meal for our Spirit. Jesus himself, when he was weary from hunger and tempted by the devil to turn stones to bread, replied, "it is written, one does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4)

JESUS CHRIST, SON OF GOD

Jesus was born 2,000 years ago to a virgin mother named Mary in the city of Bethlehem.

He developed as other children do, growing physically and mentally. He learned the carpenter's trade and observed the natural world. He had a special bond with his Father in Heaven and even taught the educated men at the temple in Jerusalem about God when He was only twelve years old.

When Jesus grew into a man, He began to teach the people in Jerusalem about God, as other prophets had taught their people before Him, but the things He taught were new.

“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” — Matthew 5:14-16

“Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” — John 4:13-14

“When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.” — Mosiah 2:17

The local government felt threatened by His claims and His public figure, and though He was innocent, Jesus was put to death for blasphemy.

He died on a cross, but He rose from his tomb three days later. He was a living man who would never die again.

This is the Jesus Christ we love and worship. We believe that he is the Son of God, and that by faith in Him, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost and continuing devotion, we can become our best selves and return to live with God.

Jesus Christ, Our Savior

Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and the Son of God. He is our Redeemer. The Holy Bible teaches us that Jesus Christ's mother was Mary, His father on earth was Joseph, that He was born in Bethlehem and raised in Nazareth, and labored with Joseph as a carpenter. When he turned 30, He began a three-year ministry of teaching, blessing, and healing the people of the Holy Land. He also organized His Church and gave His apostles "power and authority" (Luke 9:1) to assist in His work.
But what do we mean when we say He is the Savior of the world? The Redeemer? Each of these titles point to the truth that Jesus Christ is the only way by which we can return to live with our Heavenly Father. Jesus suffered and was crucified for the sins of the world, giving each of God’s children the gift of repentance and forgiveness. Only by His mercy and grace can anyone be saved. His subsequent resurrection prepared the way for every person to overcome physical death as well. These events are called the Atonement. In short, Jesus Christ saves us from sin and death. For that, he is very literally our Savior and Redeemer. In the future Jesus Christ will return to reign on earth in peace for a thousand years. Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and He will be our Lord forever.

What Jesus Christ Means to Us
God is our Heavenly Father, and like any parent He wants us, His children, to be happy. In the scriptures, He teaches"my work and my glory [is] to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man" (Moses 1:39). Eternal life means to live in heaven, in His presence, with our families, forever. God has given us commandments, which teach us what is right and wrong and chart a way through life that will offer the greatest happiness. Jesus Christ taught, "If ye love me, keep my commandments" (John 14:15). But the scriptures also teach that "no unclean thing can dwell with God" (1 Nephi 10:21). As hard as we try to live good lives, we all sin, so how can we live in God’s perfect kingdom if we are imperfect?
God sent Jesus Christ to earth to give us a way to overcome our sins and imperfections. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16).

Devotion sounds good

Don't choose fun and entertainment over spending time with Jesus. Christians who are just into the world and their lives, desires, and entertainment will not make it into his kingdom.
You can't just go to church and be fine. Socializing is not being a part of God.
People in the church are just sitting around on the side lines and they are not doing anything themselves.
You have to get out and do the work. Be a good sameratin. God does not want lazy Christians! Put Jesus first and do his works. Dedicate yourself to Jesus Christ whole heartedly. You will get cut off if you do not get serious about Jesus Christ!

He has jobs for us in every different ways.
Pray for others. Talk to others about him.
Stop making fun of those who talk about Jesus. Stop making fun of other religions. All that matters is if they are followers of Jesus Christ.
If you feel as if your sins are blocking you from heaven then it is time to repent. Pick up your cross and follow Jesus. Turn away from the things you want. Be concerned of others and not yourself. Only if you stay in the race you will get the prize of eternal life!

The Only True God and Jesus Christ Whom He Has Sent

The Only True God and Jesus Christ Whom He Has Sent

Now, to anyone within the sound of my voice who has wondered regarding our Christianity, I bear this witness. I testify that Jesus Christ is the literal, living Son of our literal, living God. This Jesus is our Savior and Redeemer who, under the guidance of the Father, was the Creator of heaven and earth and all things that in them are. I bear witness that He was born of a virgin mother, that in His lifetime He performed mighty miracles observed by legions of His disciples and by His enemies as well. I testify that He had power over death because He was divine but that He willingly subjected Himself to death for our sake because for a period of time He was also mortal. I declare that in His willing submission to death He took upon Himself the sins of the world, paying an infinite price for every sorrow and sickness, every heartache and unhappiness from Adam to the end of the world. In doing so He conquered both the grave physically and hell spiritually and set the human family free. I bear witness that He was literally resurrected from the tomb and, after ascending to His Father to complete the process of that Resurrection, He appeared, repeatedly, to hundreds of disciples in the Old World and in the New. I know He is the Holy One of Israel, the Messiah who will one day come again in final glory, to reign on earth as Lord of lords and King of kings. I know that there is no other name given under heaven whereby a man can be saved and that only by relying wholly upon His merits, mercy, and everlasting grace can we gain eternal life.
My additional testimony regarding this resplendent doctrine is that in preparation for His millennial latter-day reign, Jesus has already come, more than once, in embodied majestic glory. In the spring of 1820, a 14-year-old boy, confused by many of these very doctrines that still confuse much of Christendom, went into a grove of trees to pray. In answer to that earnest prayer offered at such a tender age, the Father and the Son appeared as embodied, glorified beings to the boy prophet Joseph Smith. That day marked the beginning of the return of the true, New Testament gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and the restoration of other prophetic truths offered from Adam down to the present day.
I testify that my witness of these things is true and that the heavens are open to all who seek the same confirmation. Through the Holy Spirit of Truth, may we all know the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom [He has] sent. Then may we live Their teachings and be true Christians in deed, as well as in word, I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
